Full description

Mostar is one of the most beautiful cities and a top destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This place is definitely worth a visit. It’s where you can still see the clash of cultures between East and West, with its famous historic UNESCO-protected Old Bridge (Stari Most) over the Neretva river. While Mostar is the main destination on this trip, it’s not the only highlight. This experience will...
provide you with the best Western Hercegovina has to offer. The journey starts in Dubrovnik, and the drive takes you along the east Adriatic coast, past small charming villages, over the new bridge of Ston to the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After crossing the border, on the way to Mostar, there is a stop at the Kravice waterfalls on Trebižat River. The falls are spectacular the scenery of the  surrounding nature is breathtaking, many refer to as Europe’s last jungle, because of its spectacular flora. If you want you can even enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of the lakes. Next stop is Mostar. Following the course of the river Neretva and passing more scenic landscapes and little villages you finally reach the culturally and ethnically diverse city of Mostar. This city had important roles in this region’s historic battles between Western Empires and the Ottomans conquering from Asia. A local tour guide will show you around the old town and tell you everything about the unique history and the challenging present of this region. After the guided tour you have enough free time to explore the old town on your own and maybe relax by sipping the traditionally served Turkish coffee or enjoy some of the local food. Bosnia and Herzegovina is still considered an insider tip for most travellers. Nevertheless, the country gets more and more attention and visitors every year.
